“Can’t we just” is the latest release from Edner, a true story about the unrequited feelings between a bisexual and a straight guy who are close friends.
It’s about the longing to be with him after all the hours they’ve spent talking on the phone and sharing vulnerable and happy moments. The hope is that he’d discover something he didn’t know he could feel, because there have been mixed signals – how could you know until you’ve tried it?
Edner, born and raised in Stockholm, breathes modern soul pop with 70s influences and extravaganza.
Fall of 2025 will show the world two new singles, of which “Can’t we just” on 8/29 — new music in a poppier frame than before. Edner finds inspiration from artists outside of Sweden’s borders such as Hozier, Harry Styles, Adele or the god Freddie Mercury. Edner dreams of mixing different styles and creating something new. Curiosity has recently led him to the USA, more specifically LA/Austin to further explore.
He also works as a songwriter and vocalist and after many years of experience in what he’s most passionate about, the live music scene, he now dreams of playing his music live in front of people who can relate to the songs.

Born in Stockholm, Sweden, Emanuel is an artist, songwriter and co-producer brought up on the live scene, based in Stockholm, going back and forth to U.S. He was exclusively invited by Spotify to join their GLOW SESSIONS Camp in downtown LA headquarter, late Autumn 2024, besides performing a multiple downsized gigs round the singer-songwriter scene in LA.
